- Get Completely Clean
Cleanse the area with soap and water and dry well before starting. Any lotions or makeup on the skin may prevent the wax from removing your hair.
- Size Matters
For best results hair should be ¼ inch in length. If hair is longer than ¾ inch length, trim with safety scissors.
- Heat Things Up
Read all heating instructions first.
Take the sachet out of the reusable microwaveable jar provided and pour 1OZ – 2OZ of wax pearls into the jar. Do not use any other jar as it could melt and deform. Do not use all wax pearls at once. Do not cover the jar while in the microwave.
Place the jar in the center of the microwave and heat on high according to the table below.
Once heated, leave the jar in the microwave for 60 seconds. Carefully remove the jar. If the jar is too hot, do not attempt to move it. Instead, wait for it to cool and is comfortable to the touch.
Using one of the enclosed spatulas, carefully stir the wax until it is thoroughly mixed. Ideally the wax will be a taffy-like consistency, slowly running off the spatula like thick honey.
If the wax is too thick, remove the spatula and return the jar of wax to the microwave for 30 seconds.
Once again wait 60 seconds until the jar is comfortable to the touch before stirring completely.
Continue to HEAT 30 seconds / WAIT 60 seconds / STIR until the taffy-like consistency is achieved.
USE CAUTION WHEN HANDLING THE WAX AS THE CONTENTS CAN BE EXTREMELY HOT.
- Put It to the Test
Before you begin, ALWAYS test the temperature of the wax. Dip the tip of spatula into the wax covering it with wax and rotating the spatula as you pull it out horizontally. If the liquid wax appears thin and runs off easily, the wax is too hot. Continue to carefully stir the wax until it becomes thick enough. When ready, dip the tip of the spatula in the wax and pull it out while scraping the wax off one side. Apply a small dab to the inside of your wrist and make sure it is a comfortable temperature on your skin. Remove the test wax by allowing it to set, then flick one end of the wax and pull it off with a quick motion close to the skin.
- Baby Your Skin
Put on gloves and sprinkle powder on area to be waxed. Baby powder or cornstarch will work. Dust off any excess powder.
- Wax On
Dip spatula into wax and in the same direction of your hair growth, spread a thick even layer of wax in strips as thick as a banana peel. Allow wax to harden for about 60 seconds until it is plasticky but not sticky to the touch.
- Wax Off
Holding skin tight, flick lower part of the wax strip upward and pull off briskly against hair growth, staying close to skin as you pull. Apply pressure to the area to relieve sensitivity.
- And Repeat
Repeat steps 5-7 until all unwanted hair is removed. Allow skin to cool before reapplying the wax. Wax applied a second time can feel hotter even when it is the same temperature.
- Completely Hair Free
When waxing is complete, use our completely OFF Post Wax Towelette to remove any residual wax.
WARNINGS: FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. NEVER LEAVE WAX IN MICROWAVE UNATTENDED. DO NOT OVERHEAT WAX. WAX SHOULD NOT BE TOO LIQUID OR CONTAIN BUBBLES. OVERHEATING MAY MELT WAX CAUSING SEVERE BURNS AND DAMAGE TO USER. FOLLOW HEATING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. DO NOT USE LESS THAN 1OZ OR OVERFILL JAR WITH WAX PEARLS. Never touch wax if it is too hot. Allow the wax to cool in the microwave before removing. In case of burn seek medical advice. Only heat wax in microwave. Do not use near heat, fire, flame or while smoking. Reheating a jar of solid wax can cause extreme hot spots in the wax, leaving the surface of the wax solid with extremely hot liquid under the surface. Do not try to break the surface of the wax with a spatula as this may cause hot wax to spray out and cause burns. Reheating must be done in 30 second bursts, waiting for 60 seconds between each heating until some of the surface of the wax has melted. Once this has happened, leave the wax in the microwave for 5 minutes to cool before attempting to stir. Use extreme caution when reheating a jar of solid wax.
IMPORTANT: Always test a small area on the back of your wrist for sensitivity 24 hours before using. Do not use on irritated, cut or broken skin. Do not use inside nose, ears, on nipples, eyelashes, warts and moles or near genital area. Do not use if you have varicose veins, diabetes, phlebitis, chapped, sore or sunburned skin, recent scar tissue, eczema or any skin disorder. Do not use if you are using Retin-A, Accutane, Glycolic Acid or Alpha Hydroxy treatments. Do not use soaps or astringents for 2 hours before and after application. Avoid the sun, tanning and hot water for 8 hours before and after any hair removal treatment. Avoid getting wax on clothing, jewelry, carpeting, and personal items.

I used it on my upper lip and was painless and effective
I've never done my own waxing but this was fairly easy to use. I think I'll try strips next time though.
I think they may have potential for someone who has a wax melter. The microwaveable bowl does not work. I must have kept putting them on like it said for 15 min and they were still hard. I stopped trying cause not only was my microwave very hot but there was a smell coming from it as well lije that bowl was causing it to overheat. I would only buy it if I had a melter.
It was great to have an at home option while salons were closed. You can’t make the strips as long as they would at the salon because they break easily. But they definitely remove the hair better if you have someone helping you.
